INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Two types of information may be collected when you visit any of our web sites, information that you knowingly provide us (called personally identifiable information), and information that is obtained from your visit but is not directly associated with you (called non-personally identifiable information).

When you sign up to use one or more of our services, ask a question or purchase merchandise, we may specifically ask for information about you, including, but not limited to name, address, telephone number, e-mail address. This information is used to fulfill the services you requested or to improve our web site offerings to you and users like you. In the normal course of using Funnel Science web sites we may collect information about your habits and usage of our sites. This non-personally identifiable information is collected without any direct association with you specifically.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Agents, employees and contractors of Funnel Science, who have access to personally identifiable information are required to protect this information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy and the high standards of the company.

We routinely use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our sites and to enable us to personalize your Internet experience. We also may use this information to analyze site usage, as well as to offer products, programs, or services to you or other users like you.

USES OF E-MAIL ADDRESSES

Funnel Science may periodically send promotional e-mail. If you are asked for your e-mail address and not given the opportunity to opt-out of receiving additional information, then the e-mail address is to be used for the specific service you requested only and will be deleted when you request the service be discontinued. You may request discontinuation of e-mail messages by sending such requests by e-mail to Privacy@FunnelScience.com

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION BY THIRD-PARTY SITES AND SPONSORS

Sometimes FunnelScience.com web sites may contain links to various other sites not owned and operated by Funnel Science.  While we encourage other site developers to adopt privacy policies that build user’s trust and confidence, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of web sites either linked to our sites or to which we link. Visitors should consult the other sites’ privacy policies, as we have no control over the information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect PII from Children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that Personal Data from Children has been collected without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information from our databases and servers.

SOCIAL MEDIA

If you log into your account or access our websites with any of our brands through a social media site, we will also have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, account information and profile photo, in accordance with the site’s account verification procedures. Also, if you interact with content on our social media profiles (for example, if you “like” or share a post from one of our brand’s Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, or Instagram accounts), those social media sites may share information about you with us, including your public profile, e-mail address and friend list. If you choose to “like” or share content, information about you may be publicly displayed on the social network, depending on your privacy settings. You should review the privacy policy of that social media site and check your privacy settings through that site. If you post information on a social media or another third-party service that references our brands or our products and services (e.g., via a Twitter hashtag), we may publish your post on our social media accounts or websites.

USE OF COOKIES

Cookies are small text files that may be placed on your computer’s hard drive by our servers to identify your computer. Cookies we may place are only read by the server that placed them there and are unable to execute any code or virus. We may use cookies to recognize you when you visit our sites, to personalize your experience and generally to serve you better. For example, if you enter your name, address, telephone number, email address, zip code or other personally identifiable information on one of our forms, such information may be, but is not necessarily always, stored in a cookie so you do not have to enter this information again.

COOKIE OPTIONS

If you don’t want our Sites and Apps to collect information using Cookies, you can change your web browser settings to reject Cookies from the site or to alert you before a cookie is placed on your computer. Each browser is different, so you should check your browser’s “Help” menu to learn how to change your cookie preferences. Please note that cookie-based opt-outs only apply to the specific computer and browser on which the opt-out cookie is applied. If you accept a cookie, you can delete it at any time through your web browser. If you choose not to accept Cookies, though, you will not be able to enjoy all the features available to our registered users.

The Network Advertising Alliance (“NAI”) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) offer opt-out tools to help you manage your choices for participating companies that use Cookies for Interest-Based Advertising and cross-app advertising. “Do Not Track” is a preference you can set in your web browser to let the sites you visit know that you do not want them collecting information about you. Our sites do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” settings.

IP ADDRESSES

An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer whenever you’re using the Internet. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. Funnel Science collects IP addresses in our web site logs for the purposes of system administration, to report aggregated information, and to audit the use of our site. When visitors request pages from Funnelscience.com or other  websites we own, our servers log the visitor’s IP address.


Data Retention

We will retain personal data we collect from you where we have justifiable business need to do so, and/or for as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law, such as for tax, legal, or accounting purposes.

You can request deletion of your personal data at any time, and we will consider your request in accordance with applicable laws.

When we have no justifiable business need to process your personal data, we will either delete it or anonymize it, or if it not possible (for example, because your personal data has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.


EU/EEA Residents: Data Subject Rights under the GDPR.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants individuals who are in the United Kingdom, the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA) the following rights, with some limitations. Users may contact us, at the address provided in the “How to Contact us” section below, to exercise any of those rights and we will respond with the requested action or information, or will let you know why that right does not apply to you.

Right Not to Provide Consent or to Withdraw Consent
We may seek to rely on your consent in order to process certain personal data. Where we do so, you have the right not to provide your consent, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing conducted based on consent before its withdraw.

Right of Access
You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not we collect or process personal data concerning you and, if this is the case, you have the right to request a copy of such personal data in digital format.

Right of Rectification
You have the right to require that we correct any inaccurate personal data concerning you, and that we complete incomplete personal data.

Right of Erasure
In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we erase personal data concerning you; for example, if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was originally collected.

Right to Restrict Processing
In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of the personal data that we have collected about you; for example, where you believe that the personal data that hold about you is not accurate or lawfully held.

Right to Data Portability
In certain circumstances, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided us in a structured, commonly used, machine readable format, and the right to obtain that we transmit the data to another entity where technically feasible.

Right to Object to the Processing
In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we stop processing your personal data.

Right to Object to the Processing for Direct Marketing Purposes
You have the right to request that we stop sending you marketing communications.

Right Not to be Subject to Decisions Based Solely on Automated Processing that Produce Legal Effects
In certain circumstances, you have the right no to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing – including profiling – that produces legal effects or similarly affects you.

Right to Complain to a Supervisory Authority
You have the right to lodge complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that our processing of personal data relating to you infringes the GDPR.

Supplemental Notice to California Residents

Effective Date: January 1, 2020

If you are a California resident, California law may apply to how we collect and use your personal information, and what rights you have in some circumstances. The following terms supplement our Privacy Policy and explain the rights of California residents.

For information about what categories of personal information we may collect from our customers, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting and using that information, and what types of third party service providers we may share that information with, please see our section titled What personal information do we collect? How do we use that information?

California residents have the following rights:

  • The right to request information about personal information that we have collected about that customer in the 12 months preceding the customer’s request (including the categories of information collected, the source of that information, the business purpose of that collection, the categories of third parties with whom that information is shared, and the specific pieces of personal information collected about that particular customer);
  • The right to receive requested information in a readily-usable format if provided electronically;
  • The right to request that we delete any personal information about the consumer that we have collected (although we may be entitled to retain some information for certain purposes);
  • The right to opt-out of “sales” of personal information to third parties, if applicable; and
  • The right to freely exercise your rights without being denied goods or services.

We cannot respond to your request to access or delete information unless we are able to both verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you and/or your household. If you have an account on any of our Sites and Apps, we will verify your identity by having you log in to your account. If you do not have an account on our Sites and Apps, we will attempt to verify your request by asking you to provide identifying information that we will match to information in our files. We will only use information you provide in your request for the purpose of verifying your identity or authority to make the request. You can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. Your agent will need to provide a Power of Attorney authorizing the agent to act on your behalf, or will need to complete the same verification procedures that would be required for a request submitted by you directly, and provide information that allows us to verify your authorization.

We may deny deletion requests in whole or in part as permitted or required by applicable law.   We do not charge a different price or rate or provide a different level or quality of goods or services based on your exercising your CCPA rights. We do not sell personal information.

If you are a California resident under the age of 18, and a registered user of any site where this policy is posted, you may request and obtain removal of content or information you have publicly posted on such site.  To make such a request, please send an email with the subject line “California Minor Content Removal Request” to legal@funnelscience.com.  Please specify in your request which website or application your request relates to and the specific information or content that you would like removed. Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information, because, for example, some of your content may have been reposted by another visitor to our websites.

Request to Exercise Individual Rights
To exercise any of your rights as described in the sections above, please contact us in writing, via email or postal mail as indicated above, so that we may consider your request under applicable law. Please be aware that your request will not be accepted for review unless you provide the following:

  • The name, user ID, pseudonym, email address, or other identifier that you have used to use our Platform, or if you are not a registered user of the service, or have not otherwise previously interacted with us, your first and last name and an address where we can correspond with you.
  • State or Country in which you are located.
  • Clear description of the information or content you wish to receive or to be deleted or corrected, or the action you wish to be taken; and
  • Sufficient information to allow us to locate the content or information to be deleted, removed or corrected

For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the personal data associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request.

In addition, please note that, depending on the nature of your inquiry, request or complaint, we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request and may require proof of identity, such as in the form of a government issued ID and proof of geographical address.

We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. However, we reserve the right to refuse to act on a request that is manifestly unfounded or excessive (for example because it is repetitive) and/or, in some cases, to charge a fee that takes into account the administrative costs for providing the information or the communication or taking the action requested.

We have established appropriate physical and electronic safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access to our database. Procedures concerning data security are updated as needed to ensure that, and correctly use the information we collect via the Internet. Agents, employees and contractors of Funnel Science  who have access to personally information are required to protect this information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Statement and the high standards of the company. Information about you specifically will not be used for any purpose other than to perform our services you requested from Funnel Science.
